A forum that brought people from different cultural, ethnic, and social backgrounds into the same room for open, respectful conversation.
What it was
IDEAS stands for Intercultural Dialogues, Empathy, Appreciation, and Synergy. In practice it was a regular space where people who don't usually meet sat down together and talked openly, with the ground rules that made honesty safe.
